Potential Development holds several events throughout the year to raise money and awareness for Potential Development and Autism Spectrum Disorder. See below for a volunteer application, requirements, and opportunities!

The Mahoning Valley Pizza Cookoff Committee

Goal

To assist in the planning and execution of Potential Development’s largest fundraiser

Time Commitment

Monthly meetings from September through December

Bi-weekly meetings from January through March

Assistance with set-up, take-down and event activities

Responsibilities

Attend committee meetings

Complete tasks between meetings

Help to secure event sponsorship and donations for the auctions

Help to encourage pizzeria participation

Assist with the promotion of the event

Autism Awareness Month Committee

Goal

To raise awareness about autism and Potential Development in our community through events and fundraisers planned throughout the month of April.

Time Commitment

Monthly meetings, or more if needed, lasting about one hour

Attendance at activities and fundraisers planned during Autism Awareness Month

Responsibilities

Attend committee meetings

Complete tasks between meetings

Assist with the promotion of events planned throughout the month

Recruit other volunteers and community members to assist in the committee’s efforts

The Brighter Futures MarketPlace Committee

Goal

To promote the Brighter Futures MarketPlace and sell the products handcrafted by Potential Development High School students

Time Commitment

Monthly meetings, or more if needed, lasting about one hour

Attendance at several craft shows throughout the school year

Responsibilities

Attend committee meetings

Complete assigned tasks between meetings

Assist with the promotion of the Brighter Futures MarketPlace mission and products

Attend craft shows to help students sell their products

Recruit other volunteers to work at the craft shows
