Favorite things about working at Potential Development: I cannot say enough about the fantastic preschool staff and students! They are my most favorite things about working here at Potential Development. The preschool staff is amazing, kind and so dedicated. Truly, they are one of a kind and do so much to make our students' days happy. Coming to work is so enjoyable because of them! Seeing their hard work and dedication with our preschool students makes me smile, and I love being able to watch the students grow and change from the first day of school to the last. Holly Hahn Preschool Program Coordinator Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Youngstown State University Favorite things about working at Potential Development: My first experience with Potential Development dates back to 2000 when I was a parent of a student with autism. In the four years my son attended the school I saw dedicated staff that helped him along with providing me emotional support. I went back to college to become a special education teacher with the hopes of teaching at Potential Development. One of my favorite things is watching a student I once taught walk across the stage at graduation and receive their high school diploma. Remembering the challenges they overcame and in that moment during graduation seeing their excitement, confidence and sense of pride reminds me of the positive impact Potential Development makes for children on the autism spectrum. Carolyn fernberg High School Coordinator Education: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Youngstown State University Licensure: K-12 Intervention Specialist Favorite thing about working at Potential Development: I enjoy interacting with the students and their families, watching the students grow throughout their journey with us and supporting the students in all aspects of their lives- academically, emotionally and socially. Whether it's participating in a sports event, building a new friendship, or completing a challenging task, it is a rewarding experience to celebrate each child's accomplishments. I am thankful to work with the wonderful families and a great staff at Potential Development, to ensure the success of each child.
